Dr. Yo, Any advice on dealing with symptoms on days barometric changes are significant? After PPPD I’m so sensitive to fluctuations and most days can be pretty symptom free now, but any time the pressure drops (happens a lot here in CA in the summer) I’m basically down for the count. How can I get my body to stop overreacting to this normal process? Will that part ever go away?

I can always tell when my brain isn't functioning correctly while driving when after about 4 min into driving I stop at the stop light and look at a certain spot on the street and the street is still moving forward. ( SCARY!) At that time I tell myself ( COME ON BODY FIGHT THIS FEELING 3Xs) it takes about 3-5 minutes before I feel better and it doesn't always work. Any type of anxiety before driving makes it worse. I wish everyone living with this the best because it's a horrible way to live! We all have to drive, unless your rich enough to have a limo everyday. More needs to be done to find a cure.

I have experienced vile debilitating attacks for over 7 years and am currently on week 6 of my current attack, full ears , dizziness and heavy drifting eyes which is the worst part, I have found cinnarizine to be helpful , will taking this course address these physical ailments? and is it relevant for someone with physical vascular loops or Meiners disease?

I've been a member in a group on Facebook almost since day one of my symptoms. Thought it was a good representation of the "Reality" of these kind of disorders and I've lost a lot of hope because of it. Most people in this group have had dizziness for 6-30 years, and it's getting worse each year for them. I've been dizzy for 1 year now and I'm desperate for hope and some kind of positive outlook on the future. Maybe I accidentally created the opposite by joining that group. Thank you for pointing this out. I'm leaving that group right now!

I think the need for connection is so real!! The problem is that many people are feeling so hopeless, and they feel so invalidated by doctors and other people who don't understand. It makes sense that many groups are just pits of despair. But it's NOT helpful to someone trying to get better.

My question is, I’m just over 2 years into having symptoms, and sometimes (certainly not always) they seem to be delayed up to 4 days after a triggering event (movement, wearing heeled shoes or excessive screen time for example), is this common? And does it still point to neural circuit dizziness? Thank you so much!

I 100% believe everything you say, and hope to one day soon fully internalize all of it so i can stop asking questions and move on with life, but the conflict in me is, I had my first dizziness at start of 2023 and 2nd one that's been the worst since October 2023 that is still hanging around, not bad but still there first one potential BPPV 2nd diagnosed as vestibular neuritis originally, which what I know about, comes from a virus. It is very hard for me as I know it is a lot of others... to not think that potentially doctors and specialists have not got all the answers and that answers Eventually come from people continually knocking on doors as i would suspect other discoveries have been discovered over the years. So why stop knocking, not cling onto to that hope of someone outside of me giving me a magic pill today, but remaining curious. I realize now that the "dizziness" has continued, that the power to get better is within me and not out there though. There could be another reason for the initial onset and that someone could have an ah ha moment one day is hard to let go of. I know a lot of other people who have similar characteristics and stress and trauma and unresolved issues and dont get a nervous system breakdown. Hopefully that made sense and you have time to answer, love your work though it has helped a lot

When I was looking at the triggers that added up and ultimately resulted in chronic dizziness, I wondered why more younger people don’t have chronic dizziness. It’s kind of a build up of stressors and there comes the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back. Sort through the stressors. I have noticed in the success stories, something they all have in common is limiting contact with energy vampire situations/people who don’t resonate with your sensitivities. Moving forward when you can. Create a good day when you can I’m so sorry you got this so young, but it makes sense to me why it happens

    • @TheSteadyCoach

I am very sorry that happened to you. Dizziness can certainly be a factor in falls, but fear of falls actually makes falls more likely (based on vestibular research). In this very short video, there was no way for me to discuss these nuances. Others reading your comment should know that the sensations themselves, while unpleasant, are not dangerous, and in many cases they don’t affect balance in ways that lead to falls. Furthermore, “guarding” against falls makes falls more likely. People with PPPD do not typically have balance issues, but obviously many people with vestibular disorders do, and it’s terrible when that happens. I wish you a speedy recovery 🙏

Wow! It’s wonderful she understands what’s going on. Therapy can make these things better. I see many others like you get better.

Thank you for sharing this video upon the request. I got to learn some new exercises. I tried doing some of them but at this time I am unable to hop at all However, I accidentally got to watch another video of you demonstrating heel to toe walk and some other exercises a while ago. Some of them seemed to be a bit easier and doable with some practice. I don't seem to find that video. Would you mind sharing it. It will be a huge favor that I will highly appreciate. Thank you so much in advance 🙏

It’s honestly so embarrassing to be the person that can’t do something because of symptoms. To be the one that needs medical attention. This video is great. This is definitely a huge hurdle for me.

Yep, more than half of the people in the success stories on my channel did not use medication.

I refused medication. Dr Yo gives us all the tools. The game changer for me was Somatic tracking. Be kind to yourself. You got this.
